More information
As for fauna, the most notable aspect is the importance of the area for seabird breeding. It is also of considerable importance as a refuge and feeding area for migratory waterbirds.
The peninsula is about 6 km long and 3 km wide at its widest, up to its tip, which is called Punta del Fangar.
The best time to visit is spring. This is when (coinciding with the nesting season) it is home to many seabird colonies that can easily be watched from the observation points to the left of the access tracks.
