Tallarines (wedge clams)

Tellins, or tallarines, are one of the little treasures of the beaches of the Ebro Delta. They are gathered by hand on sandy seabeds and are part of the everyday seafaring cuisine of the area.

With a delicate, slightly sweet flavour, they are prepared very simply, steamed or with garlic and parsley, to preserve their natural taste.

It is a dish especially enjoyed in coastal restaurants, often after a day at the beach or exploring the Delta, and it also appears in gastronomic events linked to the sea and local produce throughout the year.
