Canal Vell
It is the largest lagoon in the northern half of the Delta. Access to a private observation point lets you enjoy the wildlife that lives there. Various kinds of birds nest here, notably the mallard.

Until the 1970s it was the largest lagoon in the Delta, but rice growing has reduced its area considerably.
Between October and May, the fishermen of the Sant Pere guild of La Ràpita practise the lagoon’s typical fishing here: trammel net, gànguil net and longline.
