Natural Areas
Few places in the world have two natural parks with two such different ecosystems within little more than 30 km. The Ebro Delta Natural Park, the largest wetland in Catalonia and the second-largest aquatic habitat in the Western Mediterranean, and Els Ports Natural Park, a massif of imposing mountains and a paradise for nature and adventure sports lovers. As its name suggests, this land is shaped by the Ebro, which enters Catalonia through the Ribera d'Ebre region and flows past cities such as Tortosa and Amposta until it reaches the Ebro Delta, where it meets the sea.
