A stroll through the narrow, steep streets lets you discover buildings of interest such as the Portal de l'Era, the Portal d'Avall, the Hostal or the remains of the walls. The parish church of Sant Jaume, in Renaissance style, stands out; inside it contains part of an older Gothic church.
An excursion to the Iberian settlement of Castellet de Banyoles or to the rock paintings of la Font de la Vilella can be a good complement to a walk around the old quarter of Tivissa.
