Culture
Yes, it's true, we are privileged. Everything we are today we owe to our ancestors. In fact, the word "culture" comes from the Latin colere, meaning to cultivate or till. The Ebre regions are lands with a great cultural and historical heritage. Over the centuries, the river has become a major route of communication between the coast and the interior of the peninsula, a meeting point for people and cultures.
Where to find it
Also, being a bridge territory between Catalonia, Valencia and Aragon has made Terres de l'Ebre a hub of negotiations, resettlement and the expansion of Christianity. The whole legacy is very rich: prehistoric paintings, castles, churches and palaces, Modernista buildings... all accompanied by a good dose of traditions. Museums, historical re-enactment festivals or routes through decisive places in history let us enjoy and, above all, not forget.
