Castell de Móra d'Ebre
The castle of Móra d'Ebre (Ribera d'Ebre) stands in the upper part of the town, with an impressive view over the Ebro and its river plain. It was built under Muslim rule and conquered by Ramon Berenguer IV in the 12th century.

Later it was a direct witness to the Peninsular War and the Carlist wars. Like the rest of the town centre, it suffered the devastating effects of the Francoist bombing. Móra d'Ebre acted as a distribution centre for men and materiel, with several bridges linking it to the other bank of the Ebro, which made it a priority target for the air force.
About 350 metres of outer walls survive, along with two Arab towers and old rooms that open onto a large terrace.
