Sea anemones

Sea anemones, or actinias, are one of the most unusual flavours of the coast of the Terres de l'Ebre. They grow attached to rocks and are part of a discreet but deeply rooted seafaring culture.

With an intense flavour and a strong marine character, and a delicate texture, they are eaten mainly battered and fried, in simple preparations that respect their essence.

It is a seasonal and scarce product, which can be found at certain times of the year in coastal restaurants, often linked to local fishing and the availability of the sea.
