Cooking experts say that the fish and seafood of l'Ametlla de Mar have unique nuances and flavours, thanks to the proximity of the Ebro Delta and the wealth of nutrients that comes from the meeting of the river's fresh water with the salt water of the Mediterranean.

The Diada de l'Arrossejat also aims to involve the local population in tourism promotion while keeping traditions alive and promoting gastronomic products. This now popular festival is part of the Jornades Gastronòmiques del Peix de Llotja (Auction Fish Gastronomic Days) of l'Ametlla de Mar, held every year around October.
