From the stone village to the heart of Els Ports
Stroll through the historic centre of Arnes, dominated by its Renaissance town hall, and then venture into Els Estrets, among cliffs, ravines and some of the most emblematic landscapes of Els Ports.
Afternoon · Toll del Vidre
Stop 2
A water refuge among the mountains
Discover this natural corner next to Arnes, where a small waterfall feeds a natural pool surrounded by forest, ideal to complete the day with a short, accessible route.
Els Ports from above
Venture into Els Ports from Alfara de Carles, land of the bandit Panxampla, and climb towards Mont Caro among forests, wildlife and great panoramas. The route lets you discover landscapes such as the Fageda del Retaule beech wood and, with a bit of luck, spot wild goats before looking out over the Delta and the Mediterranean from the heights.
The entire route on the map
Els Ports can be savoured too: honey, kid meat from the Cabra Blanca breed, Terra Alta PDO extra virgin olive oil, seasonal mushrooms and an inland cuisine rooted in the products of the massif's villages.
