Artichoke Gastronomic Days
In February, the artichoke is the star of Amposta's gastronomic days. The restaurants of the capital of the Montsià prepare the wide culinary offering this vegetable provides: sea bream in artichoke oil, meatballs with cuttlefish and artichoke, artichoke and Roquefort quiche, and lamb stew with artichokes and vegetables are some of the tasting options offered by local restaurants.

It was in 1996 that Amposta's town council kicked off this now well-established popular festival that celebrates the many possibilities of the artichoke.
It is one of the food products that stands out most in the Ebro Delta landscape, as its cultivation has been favoured by the mild winters of the area.
