Torre de Sant Joan
One of the loveliest spots in the area. Located on the southern coast of the Ebro Delta, the Torre de Sant Joan dels Alfacs, or Torre de Bolitx, was built by royal order of Philip II, probably around 1576, to watch over and reinforce the defence of the port of Els Alfacs.

Today it is a ruined structure standing 50 m out at sea, in a very shallow area of Alfacs Bay, surrounded by the rice fields of the Ebro Delta.
