The experience
The Sebes Nature Reserve invites you to take part in the hand harvesting of olives: with a stick, combs and sacking sheets. After a few hours in the olive grove, you will have lunch with the typical dish of farmers in the field: the clotxa. Next you will visit the archaeological remains of the Molí d'Oriol, an old 17th-century oil mill, to find out how our ancestors made oil. As a souvenir of the experience, you can take home a bottle of Mas de Pitoia organic oil.
This activity can be part of a longer stay, combined with a visit to the Reserve itself and its interpretation centres.
*The activity only takes place in November, during the olive harvest season.
