The experience
The Casa de l'Olivera is an interpretation centre that aims to bring visitors closer to our culture and tradition, so deeply rooted in olive growing.
It has a social side, based on the integration and employment inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities.
The project gives a group of people attended at the Occupational Centre the opportunity to run the activity of an interpretation centre, managing self-guided or guided visits.
On these visits, visitors can learn about the whole process behind olive growing, the tools and techniques used over time, as well as the harvesting and processing of the olive to obtain the much-prized olive oil.
