Salines de la Trinitat
The Salines de la Trinitat are at the southern end of the Ebro Delta, on the Alfacs peninsula, and cover about 1,000 ha. Every year around 25,000 tonnes of salt are extracted here, partly exported to northern Europe.

More information
Among the most prized types of salt produced here is Flor de Sal. It is a pure salt, harvested using traditional techniques. It has a subtle taste of violets and a delicate scent of the sea. Salt extraction at the mouth of the River Ebro goes back to Arab times.
The salt pans lie in a very fragile environment on Punta de la Banya, classed as a Partial Nature Reserve. For this reason, visits are restricted and permission must be requested from the offices of the Ebro Delta Natural Park and from Infosa, the company that runs them.
