La Ràpita, a seafaring town

On the coast of the Terres de l'Ebre, la Ràpita keeps the maritime soul that defines towns born by the sea. Its more than 20 kilometres of quiet beaches, sheltered by Alfacs Bay in the heart of the Ebro Delta, make it a unique place to disconnect and connect with nature.

The fishing tradition has shaped its history and cuisine: seafood arrives directly from the fish market to the table, blending the essence of traditional cooking with the creativity of today's cuisine. The sea is part of everyday life and the perfect setting for unique experiences: sailing among mussel farms while tasting fresh mussels and oysters, sailing or paddle surfing, or letting the breeze carry you on a boat trip.

Beyond the sea, la Ràpita invites you to explore its surroundings by bicycle, on hiking routes and by birdwatching: at the southern end of the bay, the Punta de la Banya, a nature reserve within the Ebro Delta Natural Park, is home to unique biodiversity. And every year, the Festa dels Orígens (Origins Festival) turns the seafarers' quarter into a journey into the past, reviving maritime culture and traditions.
