The fields of millennial olive trees of Ulldecona, in the south of the Montsià, form the largest group of such trees in Catalonia. Almost two thousand specimens between one and two thousand years old have been catalogued in this area.

The l’Arion district is one of the most recommended places to visit them. About two hundred are concentrated here, including the Farga de l’Arion which measures 8 metres in circumference and has been listed as a monumental tree by the Generalitat de Catalunya.
This is living natural heritage that forms one of the most characteristic, historic and emblematic landscapes of the Ebre region.
