Lo Parot Millennial Olive Tree
Lo Parot is a millennial olive tree on the outskirts of Horta de Sant Joan. Declared a monumental tree, it is 8 m tall with a trunk perimeter of 15 m.
Villagers claim it is the oldest tree in Catalonia, at 2,000 years old.

It is an olive tree (Olea europeae) of a variety unknown today, whose leaves and fruit are slightly more elongated than the variety called Empeltre, traditionally grown throughout the comarca.
