Fira de l'Oli de les Terres de l'Ebre (Terres de l'Ebre Olive Oil Fair)

From November to February, the olive oil cooperatives of the Terres de l'Ebre welcome the first olive oil of the season with a series of festive celebrations that include communal meals as well as exhibitions and talks, open days and the presentation, tasting and sale of the new oil. A good example of all these activities are the olive oil fairs held in several towns in these regions (La Fatarella, Godall, Santa Bàrbara, Jesús or Bot), which have become a meeting and leisure point around this golden liquid so representative of Mediterranean cuisine. Specifically, the Fira de l'Oli de les Terres de l'Ebre, held in Jesús on the last weekend of every February, is a platform to promote ethnological heritage and to revive and maintain the traditions linked to the farming world.
