Festa de la Mel (Honey Festival)
Gathering honey, with its sweet taste and viscous texture, is a trade deeply rooted in the Terres de l'Ebre, especially in the municipalities of el Perelló (Baix Ebre) and Arnes (Terra Alta).
The most important varieties are infused with the aromas of orange blossom and rosemary, two of the most abundant plant species in the fields and woods of these regions.

Honey is a quality product that can flavour cakes, sweet coques or, simply, a good slice of bread.
In the last week of May the Festa de la Mel takes place in Arnes, with about seventy craft stalls offering tastings and sales of honey-related products, circus acts, workshops and music.
