TOCA'M

TOCA'M is Tortosa's urban piano festival, a popular event open to everyone. The festival's directors carefully choose where to place the pianos: different squares in Tortosa and places in the city where concerts like these have never been held.

More information

TOCA'M highlights the city's architectural heritage and gives people the chance to listen to music and enjoy the city's emblematic spaces, so that music leaves the auditoriums and takes over these spaces. TOCA'M aims to be a tourist draw for people from Terres de l'Ebre and from all over Spain, and an attraction for anyone who wants to get to know the city and enjoy good music at the same time.

Besides providing pianos for anyone who wants to play them, TOCA'M also invites renowned musicians and artists from the area and from all over Spain to perform in the festival's different venues. The concerts are free and take place throughout the day, at different times and locations. TOCA'M also has a social side, through which the piano is brought to the most vulnerable groups, such as the city's hospitals and care homes.

The festival is an innovative, original and unique project in the country. There is currently no other festival in Catalonia that puts the piano at its centre, in the street or in the squares, within everyone's reach, whether amateurs, professional musicians or great pianists. A festival that brings music and culture to everyone for three days, in Tortosa, in Terres de l'Ebre.
