More information

Between Les Cases d’Alcanar and Alcanar Platja, in the area known as Les Oliveres, right opposite the N-340 road, Platja Maricel is made of small pebbles mixed with fine golden sand, and surrounded by lush pine woods. The entry into the sea is gentle and gradual, which families with children appreciate, the swell is calm and the waters crystal-clear.

The beach holds the ‘Blue Flag’ quality certificate. Being right beside the road, access and parking at Platja Maricel are easy. Platja Maricel is also surrounded by plenty of places to eat, bars and restaurants serving the best of the rich local and Ebre cuisine, especially the seafood and fish of this part of the Mediterranean.

Another attraction is that just one kilometre away are the well-known Cases d’Alcanar, a spot that still has the typical atmosphere of fishing quarters, as well as the marina, with more than 129 moorings.
