Platja de Les Cases-Marjal (or del Camaril), in Alcanar, in the Terres de l’Ebre, is one of the most emblematic beaches in the municipality, well known and much appreciated for family tourism.

El Marjal, as it is also known, is a sizeable beach, about 300 metres long by 35 wide, with a mix of fine sand and small pebbles, calm waters with no steep drop, and a wide range of services. It is the gateway to the traditional fishing quarter of Les Cases d’Alcanar.
Platja del Marjal is easy to reach on foot or by car, and offers showers and toilets, as well as a beach bar serving refreshments and ice cream. Did you know that El Marjal was one of the first beaches to offer a beach library service?
Another distinctive feature of Platja del Marjal is the landscape around it. To the north you can glimpse the little hills of the Serra del Montsià. Inland, El Marjal borders Les Cases d’Alcanar, the town’s fishing quarter, where you can taste excellent, authentic local and Ebre cuisine. But Platja del Marjal is also part of a hiking route of the same name that invites you to discover, in three stages, the landscape bordering the mouth of the River Sénia. Spectacular!
