Platja de l’Arenal
Platja de l’Arenal, in the municipality of L’Ampolla, is considered the gateway to the Ebro Delta, as the coves before it, hidden among cliffs, suddenly turn into a broad beach about two kilometres long by an average of 20 metres wide.

Also known as the beach of calm, for its still, shallow waters, L’Arenal is ideal for families with children. Set within Fangar Bay, its sand is fine and golden, like most Delta beaches, and on clear days you can make out on the horizon the Punta del Fangar and its lighthouse, also known as La Faroleta.
L’Arenal is considered one of the best beaches in the Ebro Delta, and the prettiest spot is the one facing the lagoon of La Bassa de les Olles, a natural area of great beauty. Platja de l’Arenal, easy to reach by vehicle, offers swimmers various services, such as beach bars, a lifeguard, showers, toilets, hire of parasols, sun loungers and boats, as well as places for water sports, hiking and cycle tourism.
Its location is privileged, as it lies within the Ebro Delta Natural Park, Biosphere Reserve.
