Declared a monumental tree by the order of the DARP (Department of Agriculture) of 3 December 1992, it stands within the Fagedes dels Ports Partial Nature Reserve.
It is one of the many marvellous, little-known corners offered by the Natural Park. It is estimated to be about 250 years old.
