Fira de l'Oli Novell dels Cítrics i del Comerç (New Oil, Citrus and Trade Fair)

The Santa Bàrbara plain is also known as the oil plain or the sea of olive trees because of the great number of such trees grown there. In fact, it is a traditionally agricultural village, devoted mostly to oil production. This is why the Fira de l'Oli Novell, els Cítrics i el Comerç has been organised since 1997. On the third weekend of November, when the first new oil traditionally comes out of the presses, this fair is held, attended by the region's main producers. At the same time the Jornades Gastronòmiques de la Cuina de l'Oli (Olive Oil Cuisine Gastronomic Days) are organised, during which the village's restaurants offer tasting menus with local oil and citrus fruit. In addition, you can also enjoy cultural activities such as exhibitions or music concerts.
