Ribera d'Ebre cherries

Tarragona cherries are among the earliest, as the harvest begins in May. Those from the Ribera d'Ebre stand out in particular, a region whose climate is ideal for producing this sweet, high-quality, tasty fruit of an intense, bright red colour, as the annual temperature is balanced between the cold of winter and the heat of summer.

It was in the 1960s that the large cherry plantations were developed in the Ribera d'Ebre, and by the end of the 20th century they already exceeded 600 ha of cultivated land.
