La Casa de Fusta

La Casa de Fusta (the Wooden House) is one of the most emblematic buildings in the Ebro Delta. It was built in the late 1920s by a group of hunters who settled in the Delta, drawn by the number and variety of birds in this natural area.
It has now been converted to house the Information Centre of the Ebro Delta Natural Park, and in one of the rooms of the centre is the ornithological museum, a representative collection of the bird species that live in the Ebro Delta.
Right in front of the Casa de Fusta is an observation tower from which you can enjoy a broad view of the Encanyissada lagoon.
