The Maundy Thursday Passion Play of Vilalba dels Arcs, dating from 1996, is unique because it winds through the streets and squares of the town and ends on the outskirts, where the final crucifixion is performed. It takes place at night, lit only by torches and bonfires, in an intimate atmosphere that moves you deeply.

The audience follows the performance, mingling with the actors. On Holy Saturday a second performance is held, this time in the afternoon.
In Vilalba we recommend combining the performance with the Tast de la Passió (Passion Tasting), where you can savour an old-style wine that could well be the one Jesus drank at the Last Supper, and visiting the Crafts Market, where you can buy and taste delicious local products.
