Camp fortificat de la Fatarella

A site straddling the municipalities of la Fatarella and Ascó, with properly signposted machine-gun nests and trenches. It covered the Republican forces in the last days of the Battle of the Ebro. The site has 10 machine-gun nests, trenches, shelters, rifle pits and dry-stone huts, scattered across the Serra de la Fatarella. Following the directional signs lets you tour the fortifications that made possible the orderly withdrawal of the last Republican forces who had fought in the Battle of the Ebro.
