Platja Pont de l’Àlia
Platja Pont de l’Àlia lies on the boundary between L’Ametlla de Mar and El Perelló, in the north of the Terres de l’Ebre. The beach, about 115 metres long by 15 wide, takes its name from being part of a small peninsula where the Punta de l’Àliga tower still stands, a lookout built in 1598 and now converted into a spectacular and popular viewpoint.
More information
Being a little way from the town centre, it is not a very crowded beach. Even so, Platja Pont de l’Àlia, which combines fine golden sand with small pebbles and rocks, has a number of services, such as showers, a beach bar and informal parking.
With calm, crystal-clear waters, Platja Pont de l’Àlia is much appreciated by scuba divers and snorkellers, partly for its marine richness too. Its natural setting is part of the Mediterranean Path (GR-92), so hikers are a common sight.
