This itinerary reaches the Terres de l'Ebre from the Priorat wine comarca, follows the river Siurana to the Ebro, crosses it by the railway bridge and climbs towards the hermitages of Santa Madrona and Sant Jeroni in Móra d'Ebre.

From the hermitages we continue towards the Serra de Cavalls and enter the Terra Alta comarca. We follow the Serra de Pàndols, with steep ascents and descents, pass the sanctuary of la Fontcalda, beside the river Canaletes, and Prat de Comte, at the gates of Els Ports Natural Park.
We climb the massif through various passes and reach Paüls via the Montsagre ravine. To finish the GR, we pass through Alfara de Carles, enter Els Ports Natural Park and climb resolutely to the Caro hut.
