Llagut Benifallet

The llagut was a boat used to carry goods along the River Ebro. It could carry up to 30 tonnes downstream and 16 upstream. In Benifallet, a village on the riverbank about 25 km from Tortosa, there is a replica of one of these llaguts, used for trips along a stretch of the Ebro. The regular season starts at Easter, with trips every day until Easter Monday inclusive. In April, May, June, September and October, trips run at weekends. In July and August it sails every day. Group visits can be arranged.
