DO Catalunya Wine

Wine is part of Catalan tradition and history, and has been grown in almost every comarca since Roman times. The Denominació d'Origen Catalunya brings together a good part of the vineyards of Tarragona, where they produce powerful, intensely aromatic and very well-balanced red wines, from garnatxa negra, ull de llebre and cabernet sauvignon.

The white wines are generally light and very fruity, made from native varieties such as macabeu or parellada. Rosés and traditional fortified wines, mistelas, rancis and sweet wines complete the DO Catalunya range.
