PDO Ebro Delta Rice

It is one of the traditional crops of the Ebro Delta, as it makes great use of the land near the river. The varieties with Protected Designation of Origin are sold exclusively in the extra category and are: Bahía, Tebre, Sénia, Fonsa, Bomba and Montsianell.

Its quality is due to the characteristics of the soil and the climate of the area, as well as the salinity of the water and the height of the water table.

The importance of this product in Delta agriculture is also reflected in the cuisine, as dishes of its own based on rice have even been created, such as arròs a banda.
