The experience
In the summer of 1938 the Terra Alta comarca became the setting of the longest, bloodiest and most decisive battle of the Spanish Civil War. For 115 days the Republican People's Army and the rebel troops of General Franco clashed on a battlefield of 800 km2. A battle that marked the lives of thousands of people and that of the territory where it took place.
In the Terra Alta you can discover emblematic sites and interpretation centres that will help you understand the events that took place in these lands from July to November 1938.
